The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) has dispatched medical assistance to the troubled region of Gaza, collaborating with the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to send aid worth IDR 2.9 billion
The initiative follows escalating conflicts in Gaza, with PMI taking significant steps to support the residents in need.
The medical supplies, which took off from Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport, Jakarta, on 31st October, are in accordance with the directives of the General Chairman of PMI, Jusuf Kalla.
Items dispatched in this initiative include oxygen concentrators, oxygen cylinders, N95 masks, respirator masks, latex gloves, aprons, baby kits, hygiene kits, infectious body bags, and generators.

Beyond medical supplies, PMI is also sending water purification equipment, capable of producing 1,500-2,000 liters of drinkable water per hour.
For Indonesians keen on assisting Gaza’s residents, PMI has opened humanitarian aid accounts across three major banks, BCA, BRI, and Bank Mandiri.
The Secretary-General of PMI, A M Fachir, stressed the importance of smooth aid delivery, continuously coordinating with various sectors considering the present conditions in Gaza.
This gesture by PMI underscores the broader Southeast Asian commitment to humanitarian causes. For Singaporeans and international observers, it is a poignant reminder of the critical role that neighboring nations can play in providing relief during global crises. It further emphasizes the importance of regional collaboration and solidarity in addressing urgent humanitarian needs.
The Indonesian Red Cross, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has dispatched IDR 2.9 billion worth of medical aid to Gaza amidst the ongoing conflict. The assistance includes both medical supplies and water purification equipment. Indonesian citizens are also encouraged to contribute to this humanitarian cause.
