Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud crash, followed by debris falling onto the shopping floor. A photo uploaded online showed an ambulance arriving at the scene, raising concerns that some people may have been injured. However, authorities have yet to confirm any casualties.
According to Johor Baru South Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat, authorities have not received an official report, but an investigation is ongoing. Similarly, Larkin Fire Station Chief, Mohd Suhaimi Abdul Jamal, confirmed that no emergency report has been filed with the fire department so far.
Despite this, shoppers and business owners remain uneasy, with many calling for an immediate inspection of the mall’s safety standards.
