On Thursday, September 26, 2024, Batam’s Head of Youth and Sports Department, Zulkarnain, showcased the city’s digital advancements at the Welcome Dinner and Business Gathering event. Zulkarnain discussed Batam’s strategic role in the Indonesia-Malaysia-Singapore Growth Triangle, emphasizing the city’s improved international flight connections to countries like Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and South Korea. Focusing on digital transformation, Zulkarnain highlighted the establishment of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Nongsa Digital Park. This area is crucial for data center development and plays a pivotal role in advancing Batam’s digital sector.
