In a significant move to support community welfare, the Governor of the Riau Islands, H. Ansar Ahmad, has disbursed IDR 48.4 billion in aid to three districts in Batam, enhancing various social, educational, and health sectors.
During a ceremonial event in Batam, Governor H. Ansar Ahmad distributed substantial financial aid to three key districts, marking a continued commitment to regional development and societal support.
The aid was distributed among Lubuk Baja, Batu Ampar, and Bengkong districts with Lubuk Baja receiving IDR 9.32 billion, Batu Ampar IDR 8.12 billion, and Bengkong the largest share at IDR 27.02 billion.

The funds are allocated across diverse sectors including religion, education, health, and general welfare, with specific grants for religious houses, educational incentives for teachers, and support for local community leaders and health posts.
The aid distribution event was held at the Golden View Hotel, Batam, attended by thousands of residents and marked by the presence of local dignitaries and government officials, emphasizing the communal spirit and the importance of the aid.
Governor Ansar Ahmad highlighted this initiative as a reflection of his administration’s dedication to improving the welfare of the Kepri citizens, linking it to broader developmental programs across housing, healthcare, and education.
