In a significant move, PT Aviasi Solusi Prima (Flybest Academy) and Alpha Aviation Group (AAG) from Singapore plan to establish an international-grade flight training school in Batam, Indonesia, marking a strategic investment in the region’s aviation education sector.
Flybest Academy, a renowned flight training institution, in collaboration with AAG Singapore, aims to enhance pilot training standards in Batam. The partnership reflects a decade-long presence of Flybest in Batam and its commitment to global aviation education standards.
During a meeting at Kelong Baba Meeting Room, Flybest Academy and AAG outlined their collaboration strategy. They plan to invest 6 million US dollars (equivalent to 93 billion Indonesian Rupiah) over three years, focusing on attracting students from Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, China, and India.
The proposed flight school is a significant component of the master plan for Hang Nadim Airport, as per the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation’s Decision No. 47 of 2022. This plan includes a 6.5-hectare area dedicated to general aviation.

Karin Item, the CEO of Flybest Academy, emphasized the importance of this collaboration for providing comprehensive pilot training and contributing to Batam’s economic growth.
