Bintan District, under the leadership of District Head Roby Kurniawan, has been nominated for the 2023 Innovative Government Award (IGA) following the launch of two innovative applications aimed at streamlining services for the local community.
Roby Kurniawan has consistently emphasized to his departments the importance of providing efficient, effective, and innovative services to the public. This commitment has led to the district being nominated for a national innovation award.
The innovation that landed Bintan District this nomination consists of two applications: the Silancar job service system and the Bintan Cares for the Elderly application.
The Silancar app facilitates job searching for the local community by listing vacancies from various companies in the Bintan District and providing data on workforce requirements of these companies.
On the other hand, the Bintan Cares for the Elderly app is a multiprogram service designed to ensure the welfare of the elderly.
Post his IGA presentation on Monday (25/9/2023), Roby mentioned that these innovations bring tangible benefits, especially for the local community.
Bintan is nominated under the border area category along with Sambas District, Sanggau District, Batu Bara District, and Batam City. The IGA presentations saw participation from regional heads of 9 provinces, 21 districts, 13 cities, and 5 underdeveloped regions.
