Starting October 1, 2024, PT Pertamina (Persero) will officially reduce the prices of non-subsidized fuel, including Pertamax and Dexlite, bringing financial relief to consumers across Indonesia, particularly in Batam and the Kepri region.
Amid fluctuating global oil prices, PT Pertamina (Persero) announced a significant reduction in non-subsidized fuel prices across Indonesia. This adjustment follows the latest Ministerial Decree from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, aimed at providing economic relief and supporting consumer affordability.
Effective from October 1, 2024, the price of various non-subsidized fuel types such as Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo, and Pertamina DEX will see reductions ranging from Rp850 to Rp1,400 per liter. This price reduction reflects Pertamina’s commitment to adjusting fuel prices in line with market dynamics and governmental regulations.

In Batam and the entire Kepulauan Riau, including the Free Trade Zone, consumers will benefit from reduced prices, with Pertamax available at Rp11,500 per liter and Pertamina DEX at Rp12,500 per liter. These adjustments are expected to boost economic activities and ease the financial burden on local businesses and residents.
Despite the decrease in non-subsidized fuel prices, the rates for subsidized fuels like Pertalite and Solar will remain unchanged, ensuring stability for lower-income consumers who rely on these more affordable options.
The reduction in fuel prices is anticipated to have a positive impact on the national economy by increasing disposable income for consumers and reducing operating costs for industries reliant on fuel. This move could also stimulate wider economic activities and investments across various sectors.
