BP Batam has significantly reinforced its cybersecurity through the establishment of a Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT), aligning with national efforts to safeguard digital spaces.
The CSIRT-BP Batam is part of a broader initiative under the Gov-CSIRT framework, inaugurated by the Indonesian National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) to address emerging digital threats effectively.
Launched on September 12, 2022, the CSIRT-BP Batam provides crucial cybersecurity services, including incident response and vulnerability management, to various operational units within BP Batam.

The team offers primary services such as cyber threat warnings and incident handling, along with additional services like system vulnerability assessments and security consultation, highlighting its comprehensive approach to digital safety.
The team’s operations are in strict adherence to Presidential Regulation No. 95 of 2018 concerning Electronic-Based Government Systems, ensuring transparent and accountable governance.
BP Batam encourages community participation in maintaining cyber hygiene and provides avenues for reporting potential cyber threats through dedicated channels.
