Industry Leaders Gather in Batam for Oil & Gas Summit

The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) is set to host the Pre Indonesia Upstream Oil & Gas Supply Chain Management & National Capacity Building Summit (Pre IOG SCM & NCB Summit) on July 3-4, 2024, in Batam, Indonesia. This event marks a continuation of the summit series, with industry leaders discussing challenges in meeting oil production targets.

The summit in Batam follows a successful precursor event in Surabaya, furthering discussions on overcoming challenges in upstream oil and gas operations. Key stakeholders, including local government heads from North Sumatra and industry leaders, are expected to attend.

Deputy of Business Support at SKK Migas, Rudi Satwiko, emphasized the significance of enhancing exploration and exploitation activities to achieve production targets, with a special focus on drilling operations.

At the previous summit in Surabaya, SKK Migas introduced the SPEKTRUM technology, a collaborative mapping system for upstream oil and gas management, which aids in synchronizing and harmonizing maps across various fields integrated with the OneMap ESDM and National One Map Policy.

Eka Bhayu Setta, Head of Supply Chain Management Division, outlined the summit’s theme of Collaboration & Market Intelligence. The event will explore synchronization of processes and long-term strategic partnerships.

The Batam event serves as a precursor to the main SCM Summit scheduled in Jakarta from August 14-16, 2024. The discussions and strategies formulated in Batam will pave the way for the conclusive sessions in Jakarta.

The summit will also feature booths for CIVD, customs, TKDN facilitated by the National Capacity and Quality Assurance Coordinator, and CHSEMS focusing on meeting obligations related to the Health & Safety Management System.
