BP Batam has announced a comprehensive job training program for residents displaced by the Rempang Eco-City Project, aiming to integrate them into the workforce of the upcoming industrial area.
The Rempang Eco-City project has necessitated the relocation of several households, prompting BP Batam to develop training and support programs to ensure that affected residents can benefit from new job opportunities in the region.
The training is specifically designed for non-fishermen residents, with fishermen receiving separate business and capital support to enhance their traditional livelihoods.
Residents have received relocation assistance including living allowances, rent support, and basic necessities to ease their transition to temporary housing.

Families are supported with free transport for moving belongings and are assured of schooling for children and healthcare services near their temporary homes.
BP Batam encourages community feedback and participation through a dedicated help desk at the Galang Sub-district Office, reinforcing transparency and responsiveness.
