Super Air Jet has announced a new flight route that promises to make traveling in Sumatra more exciting. Starting from June 14, 2024, the airline will operate daily round trips between Batam and Lampung, connecting two of Indonesia’s vibrant regions known for their economic significance and natural beauty.
Batam, a major economic and tourism hub in Indonesia, is now directly linked to Lampung, celebrated for its stunning natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage. This new air route is set to facilitate not only leisure travel but also business exchanges between the two cities.
The route connects Hang Nadim International Airport in Batam (BTH) with Radin Inten II Airport in Lampung (TKG). Flights will depart Batam at 13:05 WIB, arriving in Lampung at 14:30 WIB. The return flights leave Lampung at 15:10 WIB and reach Batam at 16:30 WIB.

Super Air Jet will operate the service under flight numbers IU-979 and IU-978, utilizing aircraft configured to enhance passenger comfort and ensure a swift journey across the Strait of Sunda.
The new route is expected to provide significant benefits by improving access for travelers and businesses, facilitating easier movement and potentially boosting local economies through increased tourism and trade.
This initiative reflects Super Air Jet’s commitment to enhancing connectivity within Indonesia’s archipelago, supporting the government’s efforts to promote domestic tourism and regional economic development.
