Dubai International Chambers orchestrated bilateral business meetings between 17 Dubai companies and their Indonesian counterparts to explore investment opportunities in diverse sectors.

The recent business forum in Jakarta, organized by Dubai International Chambers, marks a significant step in fostering economic relations between Indonesia and Dubai, with both regions looking to benefit from each other’s markets.

Indonesian and Dubai businesses explored potential investments in sectors such as automotive, construction, agriculture, and tropical fruit exports, reflecting a strategic interest in Indonesia’s diverse economic landscape.

The forum also identified promising Indonesian export sectors to Dubai, including wood panels, palm oil, clothing, and cocoa butter, showcasing Indonesia’s rich natural and manufactured goods.

The business discussions were underpinned by the UAE-Indonesia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, aiming to boost bilateral trade significantly, with non-oil trade expected to reach USD 10 billion in the next five years.

The Dubai International Chambers has established a new international office in Jakarta to support bilateral trade and investment, emphasizing the strategic importance of Indonesia to Dubai and the broader Middle East.
