Batam Immigration is set to forcibly expel Yasuke Yamazaki, a Japanese national and international fugitive, from Indonesia. The deportation process, set to take place as soon as today, serves as an administrative sanction for Yamazaki, who is involved in a fraud case in Japan. Additionally, the Directorate General of Immigration has blacklisted the 43-year-old, preventing his entry into Indonesia.

Yasuke Yamazaki’s presence in Indonesia came to a dramatic end as Batam Immigration, in collaboration with the Indonesian National Police’s Water and Air Police Unit and the International Relations Division, apprehended him under an Interpol blue notice. This operation highlights Indonesia’s commitment to international law enforcement cooperation and its stringent immigration policies.

Yamazaki faced administrative sanctions due to overstaying his visa in Indonesia. According to Samuel Toba, the head of Batam Special Immigration, individuals overstaying less than 60 days are fined, while those exceeding this period are subject to forced repatriation.
