Indonesia is set to make a significant impact at the FITUR (Feria Internacional de Turismo) 2024 in Madrid, highlighting its rich cultural heritage and unique products.
Indonesia returns to the annual International Tourism Fair, FITUR, in Madrid from January 24-28, 2024, with King Felipe VI of Spain expected to inaugurate the event.
The Indonesian Pavilion, a collaboration between government and private sectors, is designed to showcase both traditional and modern aspects of the Nusantara culture, including Indonesia’s premium coffee and original herbal products.

Supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Indonesian Embassy in Madrid, and the Ministry of Trade and ITPC Barcelona, the pavilion displays Indonesia’s diverse culture through decorations sourced directly from Indonesia by private sponsors such as Antangin and Grab Indonesia.
FITUR 2024, anticipated to attract over 80,000 companies from 131 countries, offers a broad spectrum of tourism packages. The event, spread over a 66,900 m2 area, is expected to draw over 200,000 visitors, including professionals and the general public.
Indonesia’s participation in FITUR 2024 aims to contribute substantially to the tourism sector, especially in attracting tourists to ’10 New Balis’ destinations like Labuan Bajo and Danau Toba.
The event will not only reach the European market but also extend to Latin America, with previous editions recording significant deals from these regions.
Indonesia’s participation in FITUR 2024 represents a strategic effort to boost its tourism sector on the global stage. By showcasing its rich culture, premium products, and diverse tourist destinations, Indonesia aims to attract more international tourists, including those from Singapore. This participation could significantly contribute to Indonesia’s rising position in the global tourism industry.
