The first phase, already underway, focuses on consolidating domestic cargo at Batu Ampar before dispatching to other Indonesian islands, with a focus on optimizing internal logistics operations.

The second phase, starting in August 2025, will upgrade the port to a direct call terminal, enabling large draught ships to operate directly, reducing the need for transit at other hubs.

In the third phase, Batu Ampar Port will expand its capacity to accommodate larger volumes, targeting to manage 1.6 million TEUs of containers, with a significant infrastructure and technology upgrade.
