Batam’s Special Economic Zones (SEZs), Nongsa Digital Park and Batam Aero Technic, are pivotal in Indonesia’s strategy to elevate regional economic growth and competitiveness. The Indonesian government, through Presidential Regulations No. 67 and 68 of 2021, established two SEZs in Batam, focusing on digital and technical innovation. These zones are integral to Indonesia’s economic diversification and global competitiveness.

The strategic development of essential infrastructure such as roads, Hang Nadim International Airport, and Batu Ampar Port is prioritized to facilitate investor activities and enhance the overall business environment in Batam.
