In Batam, the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) intensifies efforts to unify public services across local governments through the Public Service Mall (MPP), urging Western and Central Indonesian regions to expedite the initiative.

The Ministry of PANRB champions the establishment of Public Service Malls (MPP) to enhance service delivery, with a recent focus on the Western and Central parts of Indonesia. Currently, 163 MPPs are operational, and 60 have been established since early 2023, targeting complete integration by 2024.

With 156 districts/cities aiming to inaugurate MPPs by 2024, Deputy Diah Natalisa highlights the program’s impact on streamlining permit processes, thus bolstering efficiency for businesses.

The MPP is poised to improve service quality and reduce cost and time, embodying a one-stop service principle that significantly cuts down bureaucratic red tape.

The transparency and ease of public services provided by MPP are expected to enhance Indonesia’s investment appeal, driving economic growth and job creation.

The government has outlined four critical strategies for local governments to expedite MPP development, including cooperative measures and integrated process design.

MPP Digital’s pilot phase has been implemented in 21 areas, with an initial suite of services focusing on population administration and health sector licensing, setting the stage for a nation-wide rollout.

The MPP initiative signals Indonesia’s commitment to streamlined and transparent services, promising a more welcoming business environment and efficient administrative processes for Singaporeans and international stakeholders.

The Indonesian government is pushing for the rapid development of Public Service Malls (MPP) to simplify public service delivery, aiming for full integration by 2024. This move is set to improve the ease of doing business and attract foreign investment, positively impacting regional and international relations.
