Despite securing four medals in sepak takraw and dragon boat races on Wednesday morning, Indonesia’s standing in the Asian Games 2023 rankings remains unchanged.
The Asian Games 2023, being hosted by China, sees countries across the continent battling for supremacy in various sports disciplines. Indonesia, a regular participant, sought to improve its standing in the medal tally with recent successes.
Indonesia won three silver medals and one bronze on Wednesday. Of these, sepak takraw contributed two silvers; the men’s team was bested by Myanmar 0-2, while the women’s team faced a narrow defeat against Vietnam at the Jinhua Sports Centre in Hangzhou, with a score of 1-2.

In the Southeast Asian rivalry, Thailand impresses by holding the 7th position with a medal count of 10 golds, 12 silvers, and 20 bronzes.
