On September 18, 2024, the Governor of the Riau Islands, Ansar Ahmad, and the Director of Batam State Polytechnic, Bambang Hendrawan, signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing the utilization of renewable energy across the archipelago, signaling a pivotal shift towards sustainable development.

On Thursday, September 19, 2024, Hasnah, head of BKPSDM in Batam, announced that out of 2,519 applicants, 1,452 met the administrative requirements for CPNS positions within the city’s government departments. This announcement marks a crucial stage in the recruitment process, allowing successful candidates to progress to the next phases of evaluation.

The results were officially released online, where applicants could check their status via the national SSCASN portal (https://sscasn.bkn.go.id), ensuring transparency and accessibility in the recruitment process.

Unsuccessful candidates are given a specific timeframe—from September 20 to September 22, 2024—to submit appeals against the administrative results, ensuring a fair review process for all participants.

Those who have passed the administrative check are now required to prepare for the Basic Competence Selection (SKD), details of which will soon be announced on the official BKPSDM website (https://bkpsdm.batam.go.id).

This administrative milestone is pivotal for Batam as it aims to enhance public service efficiency through the infusion of new talent. The transparent and orderly conduct of the CPNS recruitment process reflects the city’s commitment to meritocracy and equal opportunity in public sector employment.

In Batam City, 1,452 out of 2,519 applicants have successfully navigated the administrative hurdles in the ongoing recruitment for Civil Service positions. This development not only progresses the city’s administrative capabilities but also reinforces the transparency and integrity of public sector recruitment. The next step for these candidates is the Basic Competence Selection, which will further test their readiness to serve the public.
