Singapore expands AI support for companies, SMEs, manufacturing, trade, and logistics sectors.
Singapore is expanding its push to bring artificial intelligence into everyday business operations, launching initiatives designed for both major companies and smaller enterprises while supporting wider adoption across key economic sectors.
Champions of AI Starts With 24 Companies
Enterprise Singapore and other government agencies are supporting Singapore-based companies through the Champions of AI program, helping participants develop long-term AI transformation road maps, gain access to expertise and technology solutions, and strengthen workforce capabilities. The initiative begins with 24 companies from different industries that have committed to making AI a major driver of growth and company-wide transformation.
More Than 280 Small Businesses Join AI Pilot
Small and medium-sized enterprises are also a major focus. More than 280 small businesses participated in a pilot program applying agentic AI tools to marketing, sales, and customer service. Further workshops are planned for November 2026, with the initiative expected to expand in 2027.
Sector-Wide AI Adoption Targets Key Industries
Singapore is also introducing the Catalytic AI Solutions initiative to accelerate adoption across entire industries rather than individual companies alone. The program will initially focus on advanced manufacturing, trade, and logistics, creating opportunities for businesses in those sectors to integrate AI into operational processes.
S$150 Million Supports Advanced Materials Research
Separately, Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) is leading the Materials Accelerator for Research and Venture Enterprise Launchpad (MARVEL-AI), backed by an initial S$150 million government investment. The platform will combine advanced AI models with automated laboratories to accelerate the discovery, testing, validation, and commercialization of advanced materials.
Singapore Seeks Broader Business Transformation
The initiatives show that Singapore’s approach goes beyond simply giving companies access to AI tools. The programs are designed to help businesses develop internal capabilities, redesign operations, strengthen employee skills, and move promising technologies from research into commercial applications. More companies are expected to join the Champions of AI program progressively.
Singapore’s latest initiatives place both large companies and SMEs at the center of its AI adoption strategy, while extending support into manufacturing, trade, logistics, and advanced materials research. For Singaporean businesses, the programs provide structured pathways to integrate AI into operations and workforce development. For Indonesian companies, particularly those connected to Singapore through regional supply chains and business networks, the initiatives also provide a useful reference for how AI adoption is being scaled across different levels of enterprise.
