A 30-year-old Bengkong resident has been arrested for allegedly exposing his genitals to a 14-year-old girl, with police now investigating whether other victims may be involved.
Arrest In Bengkong Sadai
Investigators from Bengkong Police’s criminal unit arrested BD, a 30-year-old man from Bengkong Sadai, after a junior high school student reported an indecent incident. The case came to light when the girl’s parents lodged a report on Friday, May 1, saying their daughter had been subjected to inappropriate behavior inside the suspect’s rented room. Officers moved quickly and detained BD at his boarding house without resistance.
Incident Involving 14-Year-Old Victim
Case officer Inspector Apriadi said the victim, identified as AN, 14, had gone to return a motorcycle key she had previously borrowed from the suspect. After she handed the key back to him in his room, BD allegedly exposed his genitals to her. Terrified, the girl immediately ran away and told her parents what had happened, prompting them to file a police report at Bengkong Police Station.
Suspect Admits Act, Motive Still Probed
Police said BD has admitted to the act during questioning. Investigators are now working to establish his motive and determine whether there are other victims who may have experienced similar behavior. As part of the inquiry, officers seized the victim’s clothing as evidence. Inspector Apriadi stressed that the case remains under active investigation and that the legal process is continuing.

For his alleged actions, BD is being charged under Article 36 in conjunction with Article 10 of Indonesia’s Pornography Law (Law No. 44 of 2008). He is also charged under Article 82(1) of the Child Protection Law (Law No. 17 of 2016), which covers sexual acts and exploitation involving minors.
