Thai police uncover luxury hotel drug and sex party after undercover officer’s tip-off.
Bangkok police raided a luxury hotel suite in the Sukhumvit area early Sunday morning, October 2, 2025, arresting 29 men in what authorities described as a drug-fuelled sex party. The operation, led by more than 50 officers, revealed an exclusive event attended by upper-class circles in the Thai capital.
Undercover Tip Leads to Hotel Raid
The dramatic raid unfolded at 12:30 a.m. inside a high-end hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 13, following a tip-off about drug parties hosted by elite social groups. Police said the operation was based on intelligence from an undercover officer — described as a “muscular, well-built man” — who infiltrated the party scene and provided crucial information.
Authorities revealed that the gathering was allegedly organized by the same group previously arrested during a similar incident in Thong Lor on December 8, 2024.

Dozens Found in Hotel Suite
When police entered the suite, they discovered dozens of men, mostly Thai nationals and one Filipino, dressed only in underwear. Several were reportedly caught in the act of sexual activity. The chaotic scene prompted immediate detainment and drug testing for all attendees.

Drugs and Paraphernalia Seized
During the search, officers seized an assortment of drugs and paraphernalia, including:
- 1.1 grams of methamphetamine and two meth pills
- 0.75 grams of ketamine and a bottle of liquid ecstasy
- Two boxes of Viagra
- 30 bottles of amyl nitrite (poppers), a common recreational inhalant used as a sex aid
- Syringes, drug tools, condoms, and lubricants
Authorities confirmed that three men were charged for drug possession, while four others tested positive for drug use.
Linked to Previous Elite Party Network
According to Bangkok police, this operation is part of an ongoing crackdown on high-end party networks that host illegal gatherings under the guise of private events. The group behind the Sukhumvit party was reportedly connected to a December 2024 Thong Lor case, which also involved methamphetamine and sex-related drug use.
Police emphasized that these networks have adapted to evade surveillance, frequently relocating venues and restricting access to trusted circles.

Growing Crackdown on Bangkok’s Party Scene
The incident marks another major step in Thailand’s tightening control over drug use and underground nightlife. Since late 2024, authorities have conducted multiple raids targeting private events involving banned substances, often linked to LGBTQ+ party circuits and wealthy clientele.
Law enforcement agencies warned that further operations are planned in the Sukhumvit and Silom districts, known for their nightlife and discreet high-end gatherings.
The Bangkok luxury hotel raid exposes the continued presence of secretive drug-fuelled parties catering to elite social circles. For regional observers, including those in Singapore and Indonesia, the case reflects how Southeast Asia’s luxury party scene remains under scrutiny amid stricter anti-drug laws and moral policing. The operation also underscores Thailand’s determination to reshape its post-pandemic image — from permissive nightlife hub to law-enforcement-led metropolis.
