The three-day property expo showcased strong demand, with affordable housing driving both transactions and social impact.
Johor’s commitment to housing accessibility took center stage at the Johor Property Expo (JPEX) 2025, where 3,241 affordable units were launched and property sales hit RM886 million in just three days.
Major Launch of Affordable Units
At JPEX 2025, held at Padang Akasia in Johor Bahru, the state government unveiled 14 Rumah Mampu Milik Johor (RMMJ) projects offering 3,241 affordable homes. The largest allocation—2,222 units—was in Johor Bahru, followed by Batu Pahat with 501 units, Kulai with 432, and Pontian with 86 units, marking the district’s first affordable housing project.

Prices Starting from RM50,000
The launched units were priced between RM50,000 and RM300,000, aligning with Johor’s progressive housing policy that mandates at least 40% of free-market projects include affordable homes. Discounts of up to 15% are also provided for Bumiputera lots.
Expo Drives Sales and Confidence
JPEX 2025 recorded RM886 million in property transactions, with affordable housing contributing RM173 million. The event drew 180,324 visitors, the largest attendance since its inception, reflecting robust demand for quality homes at accessible prices.
Economic and Social Impact
Beyond property sales, the expo boosted the local economy, with small traders earning RM36,778 from on-site kiosks. Digital engagement rose sharply, with 2,584 new registrations on the eRumah Johor platform, part of the state’s digital housing initiative.
Commitment to 100,000 Homes by 2030
Johor has already completed 17,741 RMMJ units as of Q1 2025, with another 12,259 under construction. The state aims to deliver 100,000 affordable homes by 2030, with the second phase (2027–2030) expected to add 70,000 units.
Leaders Emphasize Delivery and Inclusion
Johor Housing Committee chairman Dato’ Mohd Jafni Md Shukor stressed that JPEX is not merely an exhibition but a “delivery platform” integrating developers, financial agencies, and local authorities. The event also responded to calls from the Regent of Johor and Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi to prioritize welfare through transparent and high-impact housing policies.
JPEX 2025 highlights Johor’s proactive approach to housing, combining large-scale affordable unit launches with a dynamic expo that strengthens market confidence. With ambitious targets and a strong public response, the state is positioning itself as a model for inclusive urban development.
