According to Tanjungpinang Police Chief, Kombes Pol Hamam Wahyudi, authorities have received formal reports and are actively investigating. “We have the suspect’s face identified,” Hamam confirmed on Sunday, June 29, 2025. He urged citizens to report any future indecent acts immediately to assist with ongoing investigations. “This kind of behavior is unacceptable and harmful to the public,” he stated.

Witness Describes Shocking Encounter

Zara, a female resident, captured one of the incidents on video and shared her account with the police. The suspect, wearing a yellow helmet and black clothing, was seen sitting on a white Honda Beat with plate number BP 2594 MT. He parked near her home on Jalan Lembah Merpati, Km 11, and suddenly exposed himself in front of several women sitting inside a parked car.

Zara and her friend were left shaken. “We were terrified. He just came, exposed himself, and left quickly. It’s the first time I’ve seen something like this,” she said, noting the incident occurred around 3:00 PM on Monday, June 23, 2025.

Ongoing Threat and Community Fear

Although the suspect fled the scene quickly, his actions have left lasting psychological effects on the victims. Zara admitted she and her friends are still fearful that the man might return. “We’ve already reported this to the East Tanjungpinang Police,” she added. The recurring nature of these incidents has sparked wider concern across the community, prompting calls for faster police intervention.
