The 38-year-old suspect is accused of attacking Md Feries Sallih, 49, leaving him with serious injuries, including a head wound and a fractured finger. The incident, which took place on January 17, 2025, has prompted an investigation under Section 325 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum sentence of seven years in prison and a fine.

The suspect allegedly struck the victim multiple times with a bag containing a mobile phone, punched his chest, and kicked his back. In addition, the victim’s bag was forcibly taken. As a result, the victim suffered a head injury and a fractured middle finger.
Following the attack, the suspect was arrested on January 20, 2025, at 11:30 AM at the Kluang police headquarters. Authorities have confirmed that the suspect has two prior criminal records, raising further concerns about his history of violence.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 325 of the Penal Code, which covers voluntarily causing grievous hurt. If convicted, the suspect faces a maximum sentence of seven years in prison and a fine. A remand application has been scheduled for January 21, 2025, to assist with further investigations.
