A Singaporean woman claims she paid S$3.65 for incomplete car wash services in JB.
A Singaporean woman, identified only as Jenny, has voiced dissatisfaction over a car wash experience in Johor Bahru. She claims she was charged RM12 (S$3.65) for both a car wash and vacuuming service, but the vacuuming was not completed due to a broken vacuum cleaner. Her complaint has sparked calls for stricter regulations to protect consumers from similar issues.
The incident took place at a car wash in Larkin, Johor Bahru. Jenny, a 48-year-old Singaporean, agreed to pay RM12 (S$3.65) for a car wash and vacuuming service. However, upon returning to collect her car, she found the vacuuming had not been performed.
Jenny agreed to pay RM12 (S$3.65) for a full-service car wash, including vacuuming. She left her car at the establishment while she ate at a nearby food stall.

Upon returning approximately an hour later, Jenny noticed her car had not been vacuumed. When she asked the staff why, she was informed that the vacuum cleaner was out of order.
Feeling that she should have been informed of the issue beforehand, Jenny asked to speak with the manager. The manager allegedly dismissed her complaint, stating, “This is how things are done in Johor. If you’re not happy, get your car washed in Singapore instead.”
Jenny also claimed the manager instructed his staff to “remember her face and car” for future visits, which she found intimidating.
