Thai Nationals and Local Suspect Detained During Op Noda Crackdown

Twelve women from Thailand, aged 22 to 38, were arrested for working as hostesses without valid work permits. Authorities identified their activities as violations of immigration regulations.
Local Manager Also Arrested
A 19-year-old local male, believed to be the outlet’s manager, was arrested and remanded for three days for his involvement in the unlicensed operation.

Police confiscated multiple items, including:

– Three business receipts
– A laptop
– A move light controller
– A microphone
– Five illuminated wristbands
The case is under investigation for breaches of:
– Section 55B, Immigration Act 1959/63: Employing foreign workers without permits.
– Regulation 39(b), Immigration Regulations 1963: Violating visa or pass conditions.
– Section 6(2), Johor Entertainment Enactment: Operating without a valid license.

Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat assured the public of the police’s continued efforts to monitor and address legal violations, particularly those involving the misuse of unlicensed establishments and employment of undocumented workers.
