Johor police chief Datuk M Kumar confirmed that three investigation papers have been opened under:
– Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act 1948: Addressing acts with seditious tendencies.
– Section 298 of the Penal Code: For actions intending to hurt religious feelings.
– Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998: Improper use of network facilities.
Authorities emphasized that disrupting religious harmony or public safety will not be tolerated. Police are committed to taking uncompromising legal action against those responsible.
Efforts are underway to track down the perpetrator. A report lodged by the affected establishments has enabled authorities to delve deeper into the case.
