Food Innovators Holdings (FIH) Limited is bringing its distinctive Japanese culinary concepts, including anime-themed dining experiences, to Singapore. The company sees the city-state as a gateway for its expansion into the Asian market. After raising $3.1 million through its Singapore Exchange debut, FIH plans to invest in innovative dining experiences, capitalizing on Singapore’s love for Japanese cuisine and culture.

Founded in 2011, FIH Limited is a Japanese company specializing in food innovation and subleasing services. Its latest plans to bring anime-themed and Japanese-European fusion dining to Singapore reflect a broader strategy to expand across Asia. Singapore’s thriving tourism and affinity for Japanese culture make it an ideal hub for FIH’s next phase of growth. CEO Kubota Yasuaki envisions these efforts as a bridge connecting Japan’s food and culture to a broader audience.

FIH plans to introduce anime-themed dining experiences, with plans already underway to secure operating rights for a renowned anime-themed restaurant in Japan by 2026. If successful, Singapore will be among the first to replicate this concept outside Japan, enhancing its appeal as a culinary destination.

The company already operates several restaurants in Singapore, including Yatagarasu, Mikoto, and The Ushi Club, as part of its collaboration model. FIH partners with Japanese restaurateurs, providing expansion expertise while letting them manage daily operations. Profits are split under this agreement.

FIH has expanded its subleasing business, generating over $200,000 in gross monthly profit from 214 properties in Tokyo. The company aims to bring this successful model to Singapore, leasing spaces to restaurants and supporting Japan-based F&B operators in entering new markets.

Singapore’s reputation as a regional hub has bolstered FIH’s credibility. The company believes that a presence in Singapore will enhance its standing in Japan and neighboring countries, positioning it as a leader in innovative dining experiences tailored to local tastes.

FIH’s expansion into Singapore signals a deepening cultural and culinary exchange between Japan and Southeast Asia. For Singaporeans, this brings novel dining experiences that blend Japanese tradition and modern creativity. International visitors can look forward to enhanced food tourism options, reflecting Singapore’s position as a culinary hub in Asia.
