In celebration of the 53rd anniversary of KORPRI, the Batam City Government, spearheaded by Secretary Jefridin, has launched a Mini Soccer event at Vitka Field, Tiban, aiming to enhance community spirit and athletic enthusiasm among government departments.
The Mini Soccer tournament is part of a broader celebration marking the 53rd anniversary of KORPRI, with the dual goals of tightening communal ties and promoting physical health. The event witnessed participation from 37 teams across various local government departments.
Secretary of the Batam City, Jefridin, kicked off the event and watched a match between the Human Resources Development Agency and Nongsa District team, highlighting the importance of sportsmanship and enthusiasm throughout the competition.
The first match of the tournament saw the Public Works and Water Resources Agency team winning against the Communications and Informatics Agency team with a striking 5-0 score, setting a high standard for the competition.
In addition to Mini Soccer, the celebration features other sports such as sepak takraw, badminton, table tennis, and recreational activities like billiards, enhancing the festive atmosphere and providing various engagement opportunities for participants.
Jefridin emphasized the importance of maintaining sportsmanship and avoiding conflicts during the matches, urging all KORPRI members to enjoy the activities in the spirit of unity and joy.
