Residents of Batam and the Riau Islands can now look forward to easier travel to South Korea as direct flights to Incheon are set to commence this month, significantly enhancing both leisure and business travel.
This new air route is the culmination of collaborative efforts between PT Bandara Internasional Batam (BIB), the airlines, and government bodies to strengthen international connectivity and foster economic growth.
The route will be operated by Korean Air and Jeju Air, which have committed to providing four and three weekly flights respectively. This schedule promises robust service options for travelers.

The launch follows thorough preparations, including an inspection visit by Jeju Air to Hang Nadim Batam Airport to ensure all operational aspects meet international standards.
The direct flights are expected to boost tourism and open new business channels between Batam and South Korea, enriching both local economies.
