At the event held at the Galaxy Ballroom of Planet Holiday Hotel and Residence, Jefridin represented the Mayor of Batam, Muhammad Rudi, urging 250 business attendees to comply with current investment reporting standards to ensure accurate policy development.

Highlighting the necessity of reporting investment activities as they are, to directly influence the making of more informed and effective investment policies in Batam.

Discussion of strategic projects like major road constructions linking Hang Nadim Airport to Batuampar Port, and national strategic areas like Tanjung Sauh and Rempang Ecocity, aimed at enhancing access for investors and tourists.

Batam’s economic growth reached 7.04% in 2023, outpacing both the regional and national growth rates, which Jefridin attributes to collaborative efforts among the government, businesses, and the local community.

The workshop aims to ensure that business owners regularly submit their Investment Activity Reports (LKPM), enhancing transparency and governance.
