Arsari Group, under the leadership of Hashim Djojohadikusumo, brother of President-elect Prabowo Subianto, has initiated the construction of a new tin processing plant, PT Solder Tin Andalan Indonesia, in Batam. The plant aims to capitalize on the growing demand for tin, particularly for electronics components, with ambitious export plans.
The establishment of PT Solder Tin Andalan Indonesia represents a significant investment in Batam’s industrial sector, aiming to enhance the local economy through high-scale production and export of tin solder products.
The total investment for the tin processing plant is around SGD 34.2 million, with SGD 8.55 million allocated for physical infrastructure and SGD 25.65 million for working capital, underscoring the project’s scale and potential economic impact.

The plant is set to produce 200 tons of tin solder powder annually with plans to scale up to 16,000 tons, aiming for annual revenues of approximately SGD 129.6 million.
Targeting major electronics markets in America, India, China, Taiwan, and Europe, the facility is positioned to meet growing global demand for tin solder, essential for various electronic components.
This initiative aligns with President Joko Widodo’s and incoming President Prabowo Subianto’s drive for downstream mineral processing, aiming to add value to Indonesia’s raw materials on a global scale.
