During the Leaders’ Retreat in Bogor, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong highlighted the robust investment figures and discussed initiatives aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the digital and green economies.
Singapore’s investment total in Indonesia now stands at approximately S$74 billion, underscoring the strong economic relationship between the two nations.
The two countries have recently signed a memorandum of understanding on digital transformation cooperation, promising advancements in tech exposure for young professionals through the Tech: X Program.
Singapore is keen on promoting the green economy in the region, with recent explorations into cross-border electricity trade and carbon capture and storage solutions.
An MoU focusing on community empowerment within mangrove ecosystems was signed, introducing potential carbon credit opportunities as suggested by PM Lee.
