At the Hannover Messe 2024, the Authority of the New Capital City of Nusantara (IKN) is actively seeking partnerships to foster urban mobility and environmental sustainability.
The IKN Authority represented by Resdiansyah, an Urban Mobility Expert, showcased investment opportunities in environmentally friendly transportation solutions at the Hannover Messe 2024, aiming to attract global investors to participate in the development of the new capital.
The IKN promotes walking, cycling, and public transport, limiting private vehicles to enhance sustainability.
Demonstrating more than just conceptual plans, IKN has successfully initiated several phases of development, with a total investment amounting to approximately SGD 3.99 million (IDR 47.5 trillion).

Following the presentation, IKN secured a commitment from LUG, a leading European smart lighting firm, to conduct a Proof of Concept in Indonesia, illustrating confidence in IKN’s project viability.
In collaboration with Solinatra from the Netherlands and the ATMI Polytechnic in Surakarta, IKN is exploring biodegradable solutions to advance towards a zero-plastic city concept.

The partnerships aim to establish a living laboratory and vocational schools to support sustainable education and skill development in IKN.
