In a significant move, the International Business Association (IBA) along with the Buddha Dharma Education Foundation of Kepri (YPBDK) has set the wheels in motion for Indonesia to host the illustrious international peace conference slated for 2026. This announcement was made amidst preparations for their attendance at the upcoming international peace conference at UNESCO’s headquarters in Paris, France, this October.

IBA and YPBDK, under the Jin Gang Shan alliance, are aligning with Indonesia’s governmental policies across various sectors, aiming to leverage these international platforms to showcase Indonesia’s potential as a host for global dialogues on peace.

The consideration of Batam as the conference location underscores its strategic importance and proximity to Singapore, enhancing its appeal as a diplomatic and logistical hub.

The proposed eco-friendly convention and exhibition center in Galang Batang is projected to span 8 hectares, with the ambitious project backed by a 3 billion Singapore dollar promotion. This facility aims to highlight the cultural, political, and environmental contributions of Indonesia’s 38 provinces.

This initiative is not only about hosting an international conference but also about showcasing Indonesia’s commitment to sustainable ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices, attracting foreign investment, and spotlighting local achievements.

With the annual WFB conference potentially introducing members from 40 countries to the exhibition center, the project positions Indonesia as a nexus for business, culture, and education on the international stage.
