The Batam branch of Real Estate Indonesia (REI) has launched the REI Expo at Grand Batam Mall to energize the property market at the beginning of 2024. Running until March 3, the expo features 16 participants ranging from property developers to banking services. This year, REI Batam sets a sales target of SGD 7.65 million, up from the previous year, amid the challenging timing of holidays and the approach of Ramadan.
Amidst a series of public holidays and significant events, the REI Expo 2024 in Batam endeavors to meet the increasing demand for housing in the region. With 16 developers and related services participating, the expo reflects the optimism surrounding Batam’s real estate market, driven by robust economic growth and a surge in infrastructure development initiatives.

Despite a 5% rise in housing prices in Batam, the increase is deemed consistent with regional economic and inflation rates, ensuring that property investment remains an attractive proposition for both local and international stakeholders.
The housing needs of approximately 60,000 workers currently residing in temporary accommodations, along with the untapped potential of the informal sector workforce, present unique opportunities for the real estate market.
