Rolls-Royce Motor Cars unveils the Arcadia Droptail, a bespoke creation drawing inspiration from the idyllic beauty of tropical gardens in Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Handcrafted at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, West Sussex, England, this latest addition to the Rolls-Royce portfolio embodies the essence of sustainable tourism and modern sky gardens, making it a unique testament to luxury and design.
Named after the utopian concept of Arcadia from ancient Greek mythology, the Arcadia Droptail represents the pinnacle of Rolls-Royce’s craftsmanship. It is the third droptail model crafted by the team, incorporating designs, sculptures, and architectures that pay homage to the client’s favorite locations around the globe, particularly the lush, modern tropical gardens of Southeast Asia and the biomimetic architecture of the United Kingdom.
The Arcadia Droptail was commissioned as a singular masterpiece by Rolls-Royce Coachbuild, marking a high point in the bespoke luxury automotive industry. This model stands out for its minimalist style and simplicity, reflecting the lifestyle of individuals who appreciate understated luxury.

Incorporating a unique blend of British biomimetic architecture and the rich textures of a modern sky garden, the vehicle showcases an appreciation for organic forms and material authenticity. The design director, Anders Warming, emphasizes Rolls-Royce’s unmatched ability in realizing bespoke designs at the highest level.
The car’s bespoke paintwork appears uniformly colored at first glance but reveals intricate details under sunlight, combining aluminum and glass particles for a glittering effect and creating an illusion of infinite depth.
Special attention was given to the vehicle’s woodwork, especially in the rear deck area, using Santos Straight Grain, one of the finest wood species available. This choice reflects a contemporary style, acknowledging the richness of texture and the complexity of visual details the wood grain pattern offers.
