Throughout 2023, investments in six industrial sectors in Batam experienced a positive growth trajectory, notably in the housing, industrial and office areas (property); rubber and plastic industry; transportation, warehousing, and telecommunications; trade and repair; construction; and other services. The property sector alone saw a substantial 38% increase from the previous year, with a total realization of IDR 607.997 billion. Meanwhile, the rubber and plastic sector surged by 175%, achieving a realization value of IDR 554.46 billion.
