Facing budgetary constraints, the Kepri Provincial Government is diversifying funding sources for sustainable development. The region is first in Indonesia to fully meet the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s readiness criteria, showcasing its commitment to progress and innovation.

MCC’s initial grant of Rp 350 billion is expected to double, providing a significant boost for Kepri’s ambitious infrastructure projects.
Kepri’s Compact-2 program with MCC focuses on the comprehensive development of the Kuala Riau Tanjungpinang port, positioning the region as a key maritime hub.
Plans for the Kuala Riau port include extensive infrastructure enhancements and the establishment of a cold storage facility to support the local fishing industry.

The investment will also revitalize facilities at the Sri Bintan Pura International Port, Gurindam 12 area, and the Oil Warehouse area, further amplifying Kepri’s maritime capabilities.
