Pandu Sjahrir’s PT TBS Energy Utama Secures Permit for Solar Power Plant Construction in Batam

Pandu Sjahrir’s company, PT TBS Energy Utama Tbk. (TOBA), has obtained a permit to construct solar power plants at Duriangkang and Tembesi reservoirs in Batam, marking a significant move towards renewable energy in the region.

In a significant stride towards green energy, PT TBS Energy Utama Tbk. (TOBA) has secured authorization for the development of Solar Power Plants (PLTS) in Batam’s Duriangkang and Tembesi reservoirs. This project is part of a collaboration between Batam Indonesia Free Zone Authority (BP Batam), PT Batam Sarana Surya, and PT TBS Energy Utama.

The agreement reflects a strong commitment to transitioning towards green energy. Batam, identified as a priority city, is at the forefront of adopting environmentally friendly renewable energy sources.

The proposed solar panels at Tembesi reservoir will have a capacity of 46 megawatts peak (MWp), while the initial phase at Duriangkang reservoir is aimed at 5 MWp, eventually reaching 120 MWp. This ambitious project is set to significantly contribute to Batam’s energy needs.

The partnership, formalized with PT Batam Sarana Surya and PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk. (TOBA), is set for a duration of 25 years, indicating a long-term commitment to sustainable energy development in the region.
