PT Bandara Internasional Batam (BIB) reports a 14% increase in passenger traffic at Hang Nadim Airport in 2023, reaching 3.5 million, with flight movements hitting 27,000.

Hang Nadim Airport, managed by PT Bandara Internasional Batam (BIB), exhibits a significant increase in passenger and aircraft movement in 2023, reflecting a robust growth trajectory for the airport and the region’s economy.

Passenger traffic at Hang Nadim Airport reaches 3.5 million in 2023, marking a 14% increase from the previous year, alongside a similar rise in flight operations.

The airport also recorded a substantial hike in cargo volume, totaling 27,380 tons, indicating a positive trend in both passenger and cargo movements.

An increase in passenger traffic is expected during the Nataru (Christmas and New Year) holiday season, with several airlines confirming additional flights.

The first half of 2023 alone saw Hang Nadim Airport handling over 2 million passengers, averaging 11,079 passengers per day, with a corresponding rise in flight movements.

Cargo movements in the first semester of 2023 surged by 32.46%, with a recorded volume of 14,822 tons, showcasing a thriving airport operation.
