BP Batam outlines the progress in relocating families affected by the Rempang Eco-City development, adhering strictly to environmental and legal protocols while ensuring community stability.
BP Batam is expediting the relocation of 73 families affected by the Rempang Eco-City investment project. These families were residing on land designated for Other Use (APL) in accordance with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry’s decree.
The affected 73 Head of Families (KK) have been shifted from the APL location. For those in the Convertible Production Forest (HPK) area, relocation awaits the change of status to APL by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
Compensation for residents within the forest area is on hold due to current legal restrictions, with BP Batam committed to proceeding within the bounds of the law.

BP Batam urges patience from the residents as relayed by the Minister of Investment, with a promise to continue the relocation process lawfully.
Residents are cautioned against heeding unverified information or incitements to unlawful actions by irresponsible parties.
The agency calls for collective efforts to maintain Batam’s conducive environment for development and investment.
The structured relocation in Batam signifies the city’s focus on sustainable development and orderly urban planning, which is pivotal for Singaporeans and international visitors who view Batam as a potential investment haven and a stable community for interaction.
BP Batam has made strides in facilitating the transition of families impacted by the Rempang Eco-City, ensuring that the investment project proceeds without compromising legal and environmental considerations, and keeping the peace within the community.
