Slated as part of the 2023 National Strategic Project, Rempang Island will be transformed into an integrated hub for industry, trade, and tourism.

BP Batam is tasked with executing this plan. With a projected investment of IDR 381 trillion by 2080, Xinyi’s IDR 175 trillion investment for glass and solar panel factories will also be channeled to Rempang, employing about 35,000 individuals. PT Makmur Elok Graha will oversee the development of this 17,000-hectare industrial area.
