Batam City’s Revenue Service is actively promoting awareness among taxpayers and encouraging the adoption of cashless regional tax payments.
The awareness event took place at Hotel AP Premiere, Batu Ampar, Batam, Riau Islands on Tuesday, 5th September 2023, attended by city officials and experts.
Key attendees included Batam’s Regional Secretary Jefridin, Batam City Council Member Hendra Asman, and Batam Prosecutor’s Office Chief Herlina Setyorini, who shared insights.
The event was structured around expert discussions, with Raja Asmansyah, Head of Batam’s Revenue Service, and Muhammad Asmat, Secretary of Batam’s Inspectorate, both taking on roles as panelists and moderators.
Jefridin highlighted the importance of regional fiscal autonomy to achieve developmental goals, remarking, “Financial self-sufficiency is a target for local governments, especially Batam.”
