The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of the Riau Islands conducted a public destruction of 3.7 kg of narcotics at their office in Nongsa, signaling a significant victory in the region’s ongoing battle against drug trafficking.
This latest operation by BNN Kepri reflects the relentless efforts of Indonesian law enforcement agencies to eradicate the flow of illicit drugs in the region.
The destruction event, led by Kombes Pol Bubung, included 2.783,47 grams of methamphetamine and 2.783,47 grams of marijuana, marking a major haul for the agency.
Five suspects, related to the narcotics cases unveiled in November, were present during the destruction, underscoring the seriousness of Indonesia’s drug laws.
These narcotics were seized in three separate operations in November, reflecting the diverse nature and wide reach of drug syndicates in the region.
The operations included a significant raid in the Karimun area, leading to the arrest of individuals found with substantial amounts of methamphetamine.
