SFA Orders Product Recall
The Singapore Food Agency, or SFA, has recalled Arla Protein Salted Caramel Flavour Pudding (200g) over the potential presence of glass fragments. The affected product originates from Denmark and carries a best-before date of April 28, 2027.
Importer Directed to Remove Product
SFA instructed importer Trade-Pro Food Distribution to recall the affected pudding as a precautionary measure after Food Standards Australia New Zealand issued an earlier recall notification. Singapore authorities said on October 26 that the recall remained ongoing.
Product Sold Across Major Retailers
Consumers who have purchased the affected Arla Protein Salted Caramel Flavour Pudding with a best-before date of April 28, 2027, should not consume it. They may contact their point of purchase for enquiries, according to SFA.
Glass Fragments Could Cause Injury
The potential presence of glass fragments raises concerns about physical injury if the product is consumed. SFA advised consumers who have already eaten the affected pudding and have concerns about their health to seek medical attention.
Singapore Law Prohibits Unsafe Food Sales
AsiaOne noted that under Singapore’s Sale of Food Act, food known to be unsafe for consumption should not be sold. SFA has therefore advised affected consumers to stop consuming the product while the precautionary recall continues.
