Police Reveal Incest Involvement
Police investigations later revealed that the baby was born from an incestuous relationship between a 16-year-old girl and her 14-year-old brother. Acting Besut OCPD Deputy Superintendent Md Sani Md Saleh confirmed that the girl had given birth in secret before abandoning the newborn, according to reports by Sinar Harian and The Star.
Minors Remanded for Investigation
The 14-year-old boy has been remanded for seven days starting Dec. 14 to assist with investigations. Authorities said the court approved the remand to allow a thorough probe into the circumstances surrounding the birth and abandonment of the child.
