The Port of Singapore wins top global and Asian titles, reinforcing its maritime leadership.
The Port of Singapore has once again cemented its position as a global maritime leader, clinching both “Best Global Seaport” and “Best Seaport in Asia” at the 2025 Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain (AFLAS) Awards held in Hong Kong on September 3.
Global and Regional Recognition
At the 2025 AFLAS Awards, Singapore secured two major titles: “Best Global Seaport” for the fourth time and “Best Seaport in Asia” for an impressive 37th time. These repeated wins highlight the city-state’s pivotal role in international shipping and trade.
About the AFLAS Awards
Organised annually by Asia Cargo News, a leading logistics and supply chain publication, the AFLAS Awards honour outstanding service providers across shipping, air freight, airports, seaports, and logistics services. Winners are chosen through nominations and votes cast by more than 15,000 readers worldwide.
Industry Collaboration at the Core
Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) chief executive Ang Wee Keong credited the achievement to collective industry efforts.
“These awards reflect the contributions of our stakeholders, international partners, research community, and unions,” Ang said. He added that Singapore remains committed to advancing as a global hub port and international maritime centre.
Reinforcing Maritime Leadership
The recognition underscores Singapore’s reputation for service excellence, innovation, and reliability. With its strategic location and strong partnerships, the Port of Singapore continues to play a central role in global supply chains, serving as a preferred port of call for international shipping lines.

A Legacy of Excellence
The Port of Singapore’s consistent wins—37 times as Asia’s best and four times globally—illustrate its long-standing leadership in the maritime sector. These accolades strengthen the nation’s position as a key logistics and trade hub in Asia and beyond.
The Port of Singapore’s triumph at the 2025 AFLAS Awards not only reinforces its dominance in the global maritime sector but also signals continued confidence in its role as a crucial link in international trade. For both Singaporeans and regional partners, the recognition underscores the nation’s commitment to driving maritime innovation and supply chain resilience.
