Raids across four districts uncovered unlicensed outlets, illegal workers, and immigration offences.

Johor police have detained 83 Myanmar nationals following coordinated raids on eight entertainment centres across multiple districts on August 30 and 31. The crackdown, led under Op Noda, targeted outlets operating without valid licences and employing undocumented foreign workers.

Details of the Arrests

State police chief CP Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat confirmed that those detained, aged between 22 and 47, included 47 men and 36 women. Among them were nine caretakers, 29 hostesses, one cook, and 44 customers, many of whom lacked valid travel documents.

Locations Targeted

The raids were carried out in Johor Bahru Selatan, Iskandar Puteri, Kulai, and Seri Alam. Police revealed that the outlets were operating without business or entertainment licences and had hired foreign workers without legal permits.

During the operations, police confiscated account books, sales receipts, mobile phones, tablets, and RM5,088 in cash. These items are being examined as part of ongoing investigations.
